God is faithful!
September 29, 2022 - It is the end of the quarter which means that we have the opportunity to bless others because we have been SO blessed. This year we have seen our costs for the ministry go through the roof. Every time we go to Sam's it is ALWAYS $200-$300. Yikes! When we look at that, everything in us says, "you don't have the money to bless others right now. Just wait. Hold onto what you have and you will once again be able to bless". However, we promised God 11 years ago that we would set aside 10% into our giving fund and never use it except to bless others, no matter how hard it got for this ministry.
God has been FAITHFUL. Not only has he blessed this ministry with the resources that we needed to do what we do, but he has still allowed us to bless others. Last quarter, I was a little sad because we were only able to give away $1381. However, this quarter I have just cut checks to (3) organizations who are intent on sharing the Gospel, for $1700. Y'all......ONLY God can do something like this when we are facing such hard times financially!!
When you are FAITHFUL with what God has given you, even in times when it hurts to give and you don't know how you are going to make it, God ALWAYS shows up and makes a way. It takes FAITH to TRUST him and to give anyway. CAFE CONNECTIONS is a living, breathing, testimony to that fact. I know. I see our books on a daily basis 🙂
A week ago, someone in the business community paid us the highest compliment that we could have recieved. They told me "you have accomplished a lot if you can remain on Main Street after 10 1/2yrs. Most businesses have a hard enough time if they can remain for a year. Congratulations!" My response was basically, "It's ALL God"!
In the 11 years that we have been on Main St, GOD has enabled us to bless others to the tune of $73,300!! When I look at that number, I am so humbled. God did this! Not Steve or Ann. It's ALL God and our prayer is that YOU see this and be encouraged during these difficult days that we are all living in. In Psalms it says, "I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread". God is faithful 🙂
