Coal Miners Cake

INGREDIENTS

Cake...

- devil's food cake mix

- 1 can of cherry pie filling

- 2 eggs, beaten

- 1 tsp of vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS

Beat eggs with a fork. Add cherry pie filling, cake mix and vanilla. Stir gently with a spoon until mixed (DO NOT BEAT). Pour into a greased 9 × 13 inch pan and bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes.

OTHER INGREDIENTS

Frosting...

- 1 C. sugar

- 1 stick butter

- 1 C. chopped pecans

- 1/2 C. evaporated milk

- 1 C. chocolate chips

OTHER INGREDIENT INSTRUCTIONS

Bring to a boil the butter, sugar and milk, stirring often. Boil for one minute and remove from heat. Add chocolate chips and stir until melted. Add pecans; stir to mix. Pour over cake as soon as it is taken from the oven.
